Planetary Health: challenges and opportunities in the Northern Bolivian Amazon (Catalan Agency for Cooperation, 2022-2024)
Summary
Promote Planetary Health in the northern Amazon region of Bolivia by adapting and improving the healthcare system to address the challenges of the climate crisis, the specific needs and rights of women, reforestation, biodiversity conservation, and the promotion of an alternative socioeconomic model. This model is based on the cultivation and commercialization of Amazonian fruits for sustainable agroforestry and agroecological management that meets the needs of the most vulnerable populations.
